Short version: we collect as little as possible. You don’t need an account to read anything here. We don’t sell your personal information.

1. What we collect

When you just read the site

  • Hosting logs. Our host, Cloudflare Pages, automatically processes basic technical data to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. This includes your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We don’t use this to identify you. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn’t use cookies or local storage and doesn’t track you across other websites.

When you contact us

  • If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and delete it when we no longer need it. [CONFIRM: retention, e.g. “within 12 months”]

What we don’t collect

  • No accounts, no passwords, and no payment details. We don’t knowingly collect anything sensitive.

2. Cookies

  • Right now: this site sets no cookies of its own, our analytics are cookie-free, and there are no ads or affiliate links.
  • If ads or affiliate links are added later: we’ll update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any ad cookies are set.

You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

3. Advertising

We don’t show any ads right now. No ad networks run on this site and no ad cookies are set. If we add ads later, we’ll update this section and the effective date first.

5. Embedded videos and other sites

Some guides may embed our YouTube videos. [CONFIRM: we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) embeds.] When you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google) may collect data under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites are covered by those sites’ policies, not ours.

6. The Anvilstride addon

The free Anvilstride addon runs inside your game. It saves its settings only on your own computer, in the game’s normal addon settings file. It doesn’t send us any data. [CONFIRM: true for the released version.] When you download it from CurseForge, CurseForge’s own privacy policy applies.

7. How we use and share information

We use information only to run the site, understand which guides help people, reply to messages, and keep things secure. We don’t sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, who help us run the site, or when the law requires it.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can read the whole site without giving us anything.
  • You can block cookies and ad tracking in your browser.
  • You can ask us what we have about you (usually nothing, or one email thread), and ask us to correct or delete it. Email contact@questingagain.com.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have more rights under local law, such as the right to object or to complain to your data protection authority. We’ll honor valid requests.

9. Children

Questing Again is written for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

10. Security and storage

The site is served over HTTPS. We keep very little data, and only as long as we need it. Our service providers may store data outside your country.

11. Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, for example when we add ads, affiliate links, or a newsletter, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
